Happy Birthday, Seven!
Our neighbors down the street, Seven Salon, is holding a little party on June 6 from 6 to 9pm to celebrate their one-year anniversary. We've worked with these guys in the past and wanted to wish them a happy birthday. Come by for art, music, and delicious treats from the kitchens up the soon-to-open Restaurant Chu, who will also be joining us on the block.

Spring 2009: Cheap Monday Last Shipment
Our last shipment for spring from Cheap Monday has arrived. This last batch is mostly made up of their Kostym label, an offshoot dedicated to the notion that tailoring and sharp silhouettes ought to be affordable, too. As always, everything is available for purchase at the Dapper webstore and you can click on the prices to go directly to that item.
Need a suit for spring? The Basic jacket is a one-button, peak-lapel jacket that smartly goes from day at the office to night on the town. A polyester/viscose blend gives it a great spring/summer weight that won't hang too heavy on the body but won't feel flimsy, either.
Can't have a suit without a great pair of pants to go along with it. Cut from the same fabric as our Basic Jacket, these pants have a slim leg that keeps your whole ensemble looking wonderfully modern and clean.
The classic white shirt, redefined. Narrows cuffs and a slightly shrunken collar give the basic dress shirt a fantastic update. Single box pleat at the back, custom stamped buttons, and included collar stays.
The same shirt as above, but in a sleek black.
While we love denim at Dapper, sometimes, you've got to swap them in for something lighter. These chinos are cut from a nice medium-weight cotton, have a slight high rise. The comfy loose fit is balanced by a slight taper down the leg.
The Bruce tee is built for comfort – literally. The slightly widened crewneck and soft cotton knit makes it an ideal tee to just throw on when it gets nice and sunny
Quite possibly the most perfect summer button-down ever. Cut from a soft and airy cotton, these shirts have a relaxed, loose body with a narrow cuffs and shrunken collar to keep the look smartly tailored. Wear them untucked with jeans or tucked into trousers; either way, they'll look just right.
It's time to but out those short-sleeved button-downs. The Ray is a boxier, roomier fit than the Loose shirts above – perfect for those summer days when it's too hot to wear anything else. The open collar and wide sleeves will keep you both covered up and cool.

Spring 2009: Cheap Monday
We love a lot of things about Cheap Monday: their fantastic jeans, their fantastic casual wear, and (most of all) their super affordable prices. So for spring, we've brought in a great selection of shirts and jackets that we know you'll want to snag. Look forward to an expanded selection of Cheap Monday stuff for next fall, too. Click on prices to buy from the Dapper webstore.
The perfect black button down to make sure you look and feel cool. Shoulder epaulettes that can be undone and used to cuff the sleeves gives this shirt surprising versatility. The welt besom pocket only further highlights how sleek this shirt is.
Western shirts get the full Cheap Monday treatment, with angled button-down flap pockets at the chest and pieced bias-cut construction at the sides.
This polo's got a bit of an edge, with metallic buttons, button down epaulettes, and a single zip pocket at the chest.
A casual button down at a price that can't be beat. A subtle micro check in black and gray give this shirt just a touch of texture while the simple silhouette means anyone can throw it on and look great.
Spring in the Bay Area demands a light jacket for all occasions and this is a perfect fit. Chunky zippers down the front and at the two chest pockets with four pockets at the waist: two flap pockets with conceal snap closures and two hidden pockets underneath. This lightweight cotton jacket is fully lined and has a slightly boxy fit, so you can throw it over a t-shirt on a light day or even over a sweater when the wind picks up. Internal chest pocket and pieced construction at the arm.
Been wanting a leather jacket, but unwilling to dish out a ton of cash or wear leather? Then the Lucas is for you. This faux leather bomber has a supple hand with ribbing at the cuffs and waist to ensure a perfect fit. Details include snap epaulettes, four pockets at the wasit (two snap pockets with two hidden pockets underneath), and an internal chest pocket.

Spring 2009: Artificial Flavor
The first taste of spring comes, appropriately enough, from the boys at Artificial Flavor. For spring, the color palette utilized muted earth tones to focus on the fabric and comfortable fits that they've gotten so good at making. This delivery includes something for everyone, whether you're looking for some basics to fill out your wardrobe or needing to add some polish and structure. Moto shirt, $80
Light-weight twill shirt that works great as either a regular shirt or a shirt jacket for brisk days. Adjustable cuffs and snap-down neck strap with a grosgrain trimmed pocket.
Snap Front Jacket, $114
A sharp silhouette and slightly cropped proportions give a tough look, but the comfy cotton of this jacket provide an excellent contrast. Angled chest pockets, waist pockets, and buttoned-sleeves give it extra functionality and versatility.
Kangaroo Pocket Hoody in black, $87
Simple zip-up hoody in a slightly washed out black for that lived-in look. Gunflap-inspired detailing at the shoulders and pieced hood construction add the necessary details to make this more than a simple basic.
Kangaroo Pocket Hoody in navy, $87
Same as the above, but in a navy colorway.
Havana Shirt in black, $70
Short-sleeved button down inspired by the guayabera shirts of Latin America. Grosgrain trims, contrast flap chest pockets, and a stiff canvas collar give this casual button down a healthy dose of edgy detailing.
Havana shirt in olive, $70
Same as the above, but in an olive colorway with tonal olive pocket flaps.
Waffle Neck, $75
A carryover from a previous collection, we loved the versatility and subte button detailing on the Waffle Neck that we just had to bring it back.
AF Polo in black, $72
Artificial Flavor's standard AF Polo gets an update with a smaller collar and metal buttons. A great piece for any guy's casual wardrobe.

Michael is a self-avowed nerd, despite what his cool hair and slim jeans tell you. So it wasn't a big surprise when he expressed his affection for the Calcutron. Stainless steel case with stopwatch and alarm functions as well as a backlit display.
Marcus's pick: Destroyer, $84
Marcus isn't big on watches, but he can't resist something simple, clean, and (of course) black. The Destroyer is made from a high-gloss lightweight plastic.

White button down in a textured weave for a quiet but bold statement. We love the rounded edge on the French cuffs and simple cufflinks which give it a stylist, but not too fussy look.
Smooth and sleek, this shirt comes in a dark brown/blue stripe with a covered button placket for a more refined silhouette.
What looks like a plain black button down is actually loaded with cool detailed work. Tonal black embroidery on the right shoulder and subtle black woven stripes will make people look twice.
