In Store Now: Triple Five Soul Blazer

Don't know if you've noticed, but lately, it's gotten pretty chilly around Oakland. To the rescue comes Triple Five Soul's Lexington jacket. A hybrid between a blazer, safari jacket, and sweater, the Lexington is a thick cotton five-button blazer with short notch lapels and a high neck collar. Lined with a quilted polyester lining, the Lexington also sports a detachable alpaca/polyester knit neck warmer/hood. Four front buttoned-flap pockets, interior besom pocket, two side vents, epaulettes at shoulders, and functional buttoned surgeon cuffs. ($184, available on the Dapper webstore)

Fall 2008: Triple Five Soul accessories

Lumber scarf in bone and navy, $32

These reversible scarves are thick and fleece-y, just the way we like 'em. The check side is made of a wool/poly blend while the reverse is a super soft black polyester. Total length 78".

Recruit beanie, $24

A thick lambswool, acrylic, and nylon ribbed knit makes for a super comfy fit. Wear the brim rolled for a snug, tight fit or unrolled for a slouchier look.

Recruit open mask, $38

Who knew ski masks could be so stylish? Made of the same knit blend as the Recruit beanie, but done in a long open-faced ski mask. Wear it with the face open or pulled up, if it gets cold, or pull the hood off and use it as a stacked, slouchy neckpiece.

Fall 2008: Triple Five Soul, Part II

Nassau Bomber, $220

If you’re expecting some extreme weather, the Nassau Bomber has got you covered — literally. A double lined bomber jacket with an interior elasticized, snap hem, elastic shoulder straps, and double sleeve for the warmest, snuggest fit available. Add in a faux fur-lined removable hood, pockets for you pocket, earbuds, ID, and just about everything else you’d possibly need to carry for a jacket as useful as it is warm. There are literally pockets everywhere: six on the chest, one on the left sleeve, and two more inside.

Architecture long-sleeve polo, $108

Refined, but with an edge, the Architecture polo sweater has everything you’d expect (ribbed hems, three-button placket, raglan sleeves) and more. Variegated stripes at the arms add a cool graphic touch while a hidden buttonhole and button underneath the collar let you button all the way up for when it gets chilly.

Architecture sweater, $80

One of the coolest pieces that we’ve seen out of Triple Five Soul ever. A unique knit pattern produces squiggly ribbing all over that only emphasizes how well this sweater drapes on the body. Double neckline with hood. Given how stretchy this piece is, you can wear your true size if you want to wear it as an underlayer or size up for a cool, over-sized look.

Attitude track jacket, $120

No longer will the phrase “track suit” conjure up images of Boca Raton and bocce balls. This jacket is as slick as windbreakers come. Concealed chest and waist zippered pockets, full jersey lining, and interior chest pocket.

Attitude slim pant, $96

Matching pants for the Attitude jacket. Drawstring waist for fit with pullcords at the cuffs to keep you insulated. Partially lined to the knee in jersey with six concealed zip pockets: two at the waist, one at the right knee, and three on the back.

Frequency shirt, $84

This mid-weight button-down shirt is all about the little things. 100% cotton, reinforced gussets at side seams, bias-cut piece on back and across the chest, hidden seam zipper pocket at the chest, and adjustable barrel cuffs.

Right Angle shirt, $68

Triple Five Soul has managed to teach an old button-down a few new tricks with a 100% cotton button-down shirt whose gun patch cleverly conceals a pocket. Logo embroidery on the patch.

There are a whole slew of accessories; photos, descriptions, and prices to come soon!

Fall 2008: Triple Five Soul

Instead of their usual street-smart clothing, Triple Five Soul has decided to turn to the East Coast for inspiration. Taking their cues from prep school uniforms and American workwear, this fall's pieces settle on a great middle ground that combines the best of those heritages with Triple Five Soul's smart approach to casual dressing.

Debate club v-neck pullover, $88

Collegiate colors and extensive ribbing make for a great fit and look. A deep v-neck sweater in cotton, this is great over both t-shirts and button-downs. Comes with twisted gun pin at the chest.

Campus zip-up mockneck cardigan, $100

Plaid gets redone in a unique print over a fantastically comfortable zip-up cardigan. Raglan sleeves, zip side pockets, and reinforced zipper placket at the bottom. Comes with globe pin.

Drill shirt, $72

Done in a subdued grey, this button-down has pockets galore: three on the chest and one on each sleeve. Made out of a lightweight cotton with adjustable barrel cuffs. As detailed as the construction is, the soft collar and fabric gives it an easy, unstructured look.

Forestry sciences shirt, $72

Simple and sleek, this understated piece lets its plaid pattern of muted blacks, greys, and blues do all the talking. Single chest pocket, unstructured collar, and adjustable barrel cuffs.

Crazy print scarf, $36

Lightweight cotton scarf with distressed fringe in an all-over print. Unfolds to a large square.

Addict laptop/DJ bag in black, army, and navy, $52 each

These big bags have room for your laptop, your charger, your books, and even 12" vinyls for DJ's. With zippers, velcro closures, and a built in sleeve for your notebook computer, these bags have loads of room and then some.

Tech backpack in army, navy, and black, $72 each

Large kit-pack style backpacks with flaps, zippers, and velcro pockets practically everywear. The side buckles adjust for when you need more or less room and the elastic webbing on the front makes sure all your things stay in place.

Freestyle wallets in army, black, and navy, $12 each

Is your wallet turning into something George Constanza might be packing in his pocket? These tri-fold ones have slots, pockets, and even a keyring. Made out of super tough nylon with a contrast stripe running over the front.

Triple 5 Soul - Spring/Summer '08

Triple 5 Soul brings us another collection of great, funky stuff for Spring/Summer. As always, the combination of military-inspired detailing and streetwear aesthetics makes for fresh pieces that combine color, texture, and personality.

Amherst Shirt, $74

Take a clean, white shirt and throw on loads of cool details and you get the Amherst Shirt. Roll-up button sleeves, two front pockets, and epaulettes are pleasant twists on a basic shirt.

Mesa Shirt, $78

More plaids, but not necessarily more of the same. This lightweight woven is done in a subtle khaki plaid with hints of yellow for a subdubed summer color palette.

Tangier Cargo Shorts, $98

The Triple 5 Soul on the cargo short ditches the baggy, over-sized look in favor of clean lines and clever details. The tabs on the hips allow for adjustments to the waist while snap-close back pockets and zippered side pockets make these shorts easy, but not sloppy.

Mediterranean Jacket, $119

What doesn't this jacket have? Button-adjustable waist, buttoned cuffs, zipper chest pockets, button flap side pockets, zip-up front, and moto-style collar. Done in an exaggerated brown plaid, this jacket is the summer solution to handling unpredictable Bay Area weather.
