In Store Now: Kids' Art!

Anyone who has passed by recently will have noticed the wonderful paintings by kids for the "Kids Paint by the Town" art event sponsored by the Rockridge District the Museum of Children's Art. We invite parents to take their kids around for this Saturday's Art Stroll (find more information on the event website regarding participation and check-in) and to stop by the store, where you can check out new fall arrivals and where we'll happily stamp your children's art passport, which they need to complete to be eligible for that day's grand prize. We hope you see you this weekend!

Art, Front and Center

We've been getting a ton of passer-bys stopping and staring at the art installation in our front window. All three pieces are the work of Larry Baumiller, a local artist who specialized in wearable art, sculpture, toys, and puppets. These pieces are the culmination of hours of work and not a single tie has been cut to fit. Larry's work is going to be exhibited throughout the weekend, but will be leaving the store on Monday. If you haven't had a chance to take a closer look, we suggest dropping by.

For the Dad who has Everything...

(Call for pricing)

People always forget about the great art that hangs on our walls, courtesy of Cassandra Auker, one of the folks at our neighboor Form Modern Vintage, one of the best furniture stores in the East Bay. In addition to slinging mid-century chairs with the best of them, Cassandra's an accomplished artist in her own right and all of the pieces that you see are available for sale. If you're looking for something a little more unique than a sweater or tie, come in and talk to us about getting one of Cassandra's pieces.
